Introduction to Block Printing Class

In-Person Class at Josephy Center for Arts & Culture, Joseph, OR

Learn the basic techniques for block (or relief) printing: how to transfer a design, carve with cutting tools, and ink and print an impression of your carved block onto paper. We’ll be using a soft rubbery medium that cuts easily and we’ll burnish our images by hand. Materials will be provided, but please bring some designs or images you’d like to work from. You’ll go home with a new set of skills and finished prints!

Six students maximum. $65 per person, must register in advance.
Masks and proof of COVID vaccination required.
