Christmas Show at Wallowa Lake Lodge, Dec. 7-8, 2013

Heidi & Bob will be joining a lineup of Wallowa County musicians for Gail Swart’s annual Christmas program at Wallowa Lake Lodge on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 7 and 8. Located at the south end of Wallowa Lake, the lodge is a beautiful old hotel full of wood and stone decor built in 1923. After some caroling in the lobby, the show happens in the diningroom after dinner.

Heidi & Bob are looking forward to performing in Bellingham again… their Dulcimer Moon CD release concert will be on Tuesday night, Dec. 3 at 7:30 pm at the beautiful Roeder Home, 2600 Sunset Drive. Suggested donation at the door is $10 for adults, and $5 for children under 12. The concert is co-sponsored by the Whatcom County Home Made Music Society and Whatcom Family & Community Network.

Seattle Folklore Concert, Phinney Neighborhood Center, Sat., November 30

This Thanksgiving Weekend concert is for one of our very favorite audiences in Heidi’s former hometown of Seattle. We’ve played at the Phinney Neighborhood Center a number of times but it has been two years since our last Folklore Society concert. Concerts are held in the Community Hall (brick building). Free parking in the lower parking lot at the Center. Enter the lot on N 67th, between Phinney and Dayton Ave. Phinney Center has disability parking outside the door on the Dayton Street side of the building and flat access into the hall from Dayton. Parking on Dayton Ave is available for disabled and musician load/unload only.

Clearwater Community Concert, Orofino, ID, Nov. 7, 2013

Heidi and Bob will give an evening concert on Thursday night, Nov. 7 at the Orofino High School, sponsored by the Clearwater Community Concert Association. Their visit will include teaching music workshops on Friday morning for the community in both beginning dulcimer (9:00) and Appalachian fiddle tunes for guitar and mandolin (11:00).

Saturday, Nov. 2, 10:00 am – Dulcimer Workshop at Joe Beans

Would you like to try out the dulcimer? It’s one of the easiest instruments to learn even if you don’t have any musical background. Bob and Heidi will give a beginners’™ workshop on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10:00-11:30 am at Joe Beans Coffee, 1009 Adams in downtown La Grande. Cost is $25 and pre-registration is recommended. If you don’t have your own dulcimer, please reserve a loaner instrument in your email.

Friday, Nov. 1 at the Stage Door Theater, La Grande, OR

Bob and Heidi are giving a CD Release Concert on Friday, Nov. 1 at 7:00 pm to celebrate their new CD, Dulcimer Moon, at the Stage Door Theater in La Grande. The Stage Door is located at 1010 Adams, off the alley behind the building. Seating is limited so come early – doors open at 6:30. Enjoy the concert after the Art Walk that starts at 5:00.

Beginning dulcimer workshop the next morning at Joe Beans!

Sunday, Oct. 20 – House Concert & Dulcimer Workshops, Kuna, ID

We’ll be teaching workshops and giving a house concert at our friend’s beautiful farm in rural Kuna!

Dulcimer workshops are planned for 1:30-3:00. People who’d like to learn are invited to sign up for the “String Side Up” Beginners’ workshop with Bob. Student dulcimers are available to borrow if you don’t have your own instrument. A “Smooth Out Your Playing” workshop with Heidi will be taught for advanced beginners to intermediate players. Cost for each workshop is $25.

Concert will be at 4:00 pm out on the deck. Please bring your lawn chairs. Admission is a $10 donation, and there will be a potluck following around 5:30.
