The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance presents its annual showcase of women musicians and writers at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture on Main Street in Joseph, to cap off its month-long showing of women’s art. The show starts at 7:00 pm and admission is $10.00. Heidi will be performing along with many other accomplished local performers and spoken-word artists.
Heidi and Bob have been invited to play on Camano Island, north of Seattle… details will be posted soon so check back!
Heidi and Bob will play an acoustic concert at the Couth Buzzard Bookstore on Friday, April 13, 2018. This is a wonderfully intimate setting in the room at the back of the store, with refreshments available from their cafe. Enjoy lots of old and new songs and traditional music with guitars, dulcimers, mandolin and electric cello. Thanks to the PNW Folklore folks for hosting us!
A benefit dinner and auction will be held to raise medical and support expenses for Jasmine Tool, daughter of Wallowa County Chieftain reporter Steve Tool, on Saturday, April 28 at 5:00 at The Place, 303 Lake Street (next door to the Joseph Methodist Church) in Joseph, OR. Jasmine is a single mother of two who has been suffering from a brain tumor. Heidi and Bob will be providing a set of music during the evening. Come help us raise funds!
Join us for a free community performance at the Elgin Public Library in Elgin, OR. We’ll play a set of our original and traditional music, starting at 6:30 pm on Wed., June 20. The library is located at 1699 Division St (Hwy 204, corner of 17th St). Hope to see you there!
Heidi and Bob will work with at least 70 students in two different schools in early May to help them build and learn to play their own cardboard-box dulcimers. They will be engaged in the schools every day for a week, with a finale concert on Friday night featuring the students and their tunes.
Heidi and Bob are available for other residencies of 1-5 days in schools and community settings… it usually takes a good bit of advance planning and grantwriting to make a bigger project work, but single days can be scheduled quite easily. If you’re interested in having them come to your local school, please get in touch!
