Heidi and Bob are so pleased to be invited to teach and perform at this longstanding dulcimer festival! Hosted by Southern California Dulcimer Heritage, there are workshops all day Saturday starting at 9:00 am and special focus sessions on Sunday, featuring two 4-hour classes in Mountain Dulcimer and Hammered Dulcimer.
Heidi will teach MD workshops in Calypso, Easy Waltzes, and West Virginia Fiddle Tunes. Bob will teach a class in Chord Forms and Capo use, and they will co-teach a class on playing some fun tunes together with other instruments.
A wonderful Staff Concert will be held 6:00-8:00 pm on Saturday night at the Presbyterian Church in Costa Mesa.
Sunday Focus Group 11:00 – 3:00 on “Playing Together” for MD and other instruments will be held at a home in Fullerton. Register online at scdh.org or in person at the festival on Saturday.

Heidi will be heading back to Kerrville, TX to participate in a celebration of the music of TR Ritchie, a songwriter from the Seattle music scene of the 1980s who went on to become a nationally-touring artist, who passed away in 2014. The concert will happen on the Threadgill stage, organized by songwriter Tracy Spring, and will include a stellar list of musicians plus a showing of the wonderful DVD about TR, American Songwriter. The 46th Annual Kerrville Folk Festival is the pre-eminent songwriter reunion, running 18 days from May 25-June 11 at Quiet Valley Ranch. Tickets are on sale now at www.kerrville-music.com.
St. Patrick’s is hosting a benefit concert on Friday, June 16 at 7:00 pm to raise money for equipment for the new Joseph Playground. Heidi and Bob will do a set, plus Darrell Brann and family.

Celebrate the words and music of women during Women’s History Month at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture. Our concert will be Saturday night, March 25 at 7:00 pm, in the setting of this months’ art exhibit featuring a range of fabulous art by women. A new compilation CD that includes Heidi’s song, “My Old Cat,” has just been released. It includes a collection of songs about people’s pet dogs and cats, and is being sold across the country to benefit animal rescue organizations selected by the artists who donated their songs. Heidi chose the Wallowa County Humane Society to receive this benefit, and she will be performing some songs and signing CDs during their open house on May 6 at 11:00 am. Stephen Seifert, Rob Brereton, and Aaron O’Rourke are all top national dulcimer performers who will amaze and delight you with their musical abilities. Friends in Spokane are hosting an outdoor concert at their home, and a different friend has hired us to play at her annual party the next day. Heidi and Bob will give a free outdoor concert at the courthouse gazebo on Thursday, August 17 from 5:30-7:00 pm. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, bring the kids… this is a family-friendly event.
