Bob and Heidi are honored to be asked to participate once again in this wonderful annual holiday program hosted by one of Wallowa County’s most popular residents, retired music teacher Gail Swart. A dozen or so performers will play both familiar and lesser-known holiday songs after dinner in the Lodge’s art deco-style dining room, plus there will be caroling and a bell choir, and piano music from Gail herself. Program starts at 5:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3 and 4. It always sells out, so call the lodge soon to make reservations: 541-432-9821.
Friday, Sept. 9 to Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016 – Spend a week learning to play the Appalachian dulcimer with Heidi Muller at the Cedar Lakes Crafts Center in Ripley, WV. This will be Heidi’s 11th year teaching this Road Scholar program. The class is geared to complete beginners, and has gotten rave reviews from those who have never touched a dulcimer to those who have tried to start on their own or had a few lessons. By the end of the week you will have learned a variety of playing techniques, good practice habits, and have a repertoire of new tunes to take home with you. To sign up, go to www.roadscholar.org.
